Sr. Accounting Manager

Position Summary:

The Senior Accounting Manager is highly proficient with numbers, is bullheaded with details, and can multi-task with the best of them.  You will work independently while providing the highest level of confidentiality and detail to support the efficiency of the Accounting Department.


  • Strategize with and reports to the President/CEO on department budgets and recommend ways to reduce costs
  • Responsible for working with external Auditing firm to complete the necessary annual filings as well as Individual State reports  
  • Facilitation of Quarterly MBFRF reports needed to maintain good financial standing with Fannie Mae
  • Reconcile accounts daily/weekly/monthly for warehouse, bank updates, escrows and general ledger
  • Summarize and prepare financial status and transactions reports, including a profit and loss statement, and cash flow forecasting
  • Assessing internal controls
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliation for variances such as bank recon, fixed assets, accruals, and prepaids
  • Maintaining fixed assets
  • Breakdown loans for profitability
  • Hedge value estimates and reporting
  • Provide payroll backup on occasion
  • Accounts payable and Receivable to include invoice tracking, preparing and facilitating check creation and mailing
  • Importing from the Loan Management System (Encompass) and wharehouse lines to Loan Vision
  • Assist Sales Management with loan officer commission calculations
  • Creation of all states tax accounts for easier payments and monitoring; gather tax documents; make tax payments and prepare end of year 1099's and 1098's
  • Manage lease contracts and other vendor agreements
  • Implement new procedures as needed


  • Minimum 5 years professional experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
  • Stellar communicator with ability to work through and solve complex projects
